When I was in 3rd grade I started collecting pencils because I liked building towers out of them at school. It usually ended with someone hurling something from the back of the room knocking my towers down. That's what inspired this video. I was also a big fan of origami at the time so that's why there is a paper boat in all of these clips.
The song is called The Lull and I wrote it specifically for this video.
For anyone interested in technical stuff
Pencils are a lot more complicated than cubes (what normal KEVA towers are made of) so the number of pencils that can be used is limited. The pencil I modeled ended up being around 9000 vertices and around 4,500 after using the decimate modifier. I got a lot of CUDA Errors. The last one was particularly hard for my computer so it ended before it could finish falling.
